Volunteer position with new immigrants

DIVERSEcity community resources society seeks volunteers to assist new immigrants with their English skills.
Volunteers will:
 Facilitate students on an individual basis or in groups to improve their conversation skills.
 Work with the volunteer coordinator and team to support the language program’s goals.
 Gain valuable experience working with immigrants in a multicultural environment.

ELSA level 4/5 is looking for volunteers for Fridays from 9am – 12:15 pm.
-Must be 19 years and older.
- Minimum 6 months of commitment required.
-Must have a criminal record check done (free for volunteers).
- Must have 3 references.

This is a great experience for people who are in the TESL program or want to be an ESL teacher.
